In celebration of Mother’s Day, The Next Idea sat down with the co-founders of Hey Taylor, Singapore’s first hybrid women’s healthcare provider.
Through a thoughtfully designed clinic and a smart digital app, Hey Taylor is reshaping what accessible, compassionate care looks like for women across every life stage.
Co-founders Eve Lee and Dr. Jody Paige Goh share what led them to start Hey Taylor—and how they’re filling a critical gap in Singapore’s healthcare system.
Born from experience, built to fill a gap
“Hey Taylor was born out of personal experience, professional frustration, and a lot of listening,” they say. Eve, who worked in an IVF clinic and went through her own egg-freezing journey, saw how disconnected and reactive the system was—even for healthcare professionals.
Meanwhile, Jody, on the clinical frontlines, saw patients being rushed through brief GP consults or unable to access specialist care early enough.
Together, they asked: why does care only begin when things are already bad?
They built Hey Taylor to offer a different model—not a traditional GP, not a specialist clinic, but something in between. Longer consultations, integrated care, and tech-enabled support allow them to spot issues early and manage long-term conditions with respect and clarity.
Bridging digital and physical care
The Hey Taylor hybrid model combines a physical clinic with a digital app. “Care should start before things get serious—and continue well after the appointment ends.”
The app works in the background of a woman’s daily life, tracking symptoms and flagging potential concerns with clinical algorithms. When care is needed, appointments can be booked easily—virtual or in-person—with the same care team and records, ensuring continuity.
At the clinic, women receive in-depth assessments such as pelvic exams, hormonal testing, and ultrasounds. “Everything—from the layout to the lighting to the doctor encounter—is designed to make women feel respected, not rushed.”
Filling gaps in women’s health
Hey Taylor is trying to fix what many women experience in traditional medical settings: feeling unheard.
They address this through:
- Longer, 20-minute minimum consults.
- An app that flags abnormal patterns early.
- A warm, non-clinical space designed for comfort.
- Integrated care so patients don’t need to repeat themselves.
- A team built by people who’ve lived through the same health challenges.
“Patients often tell us they could sense our concern the moment they stepped in—and that’s what made them feel safe enough to speak up.”
App as a companion, not as just another tool
The Hey Taylor app is a digital companion that complements clinical care. Users can track cycles and symptoms, receive nudges powered by clinical insights, and access personalised health content.

Booking is seamless, and doctors use this information to tailor follow-ups or medications.
“It ensures women get the right support at the right time—even before they step into the clinic.”
Bootstrapping a mission-driven SME
Hey Taylor’s founders faced the classic challenge faced by most SMEs: limited resources. “We didn’t have the luxury of external funding so we’ve had to be really smart about how we build—every decision had to count.”
Instead of outsourcing or quick fixes, they relied on thoughtful, hands-on execution.
With Singapore’s move toward value-based, preventive healthcare under Healthier SG, Hey Taylor sees its model aligning well with future demands. “Women’s health is uniquely positioned in this transition.”
Their long-term goal is to be the “home base” for women’s care—offering not just medical consults, but also nutritional, mental health, and even TCM support when needed. “We see Hey Taylor becoming a new kind of anchor in the healthcare system—proactive, relational, and tech-enabled.”
Helping moms fight gaps in postpartum and all women menopause care
Future plans include deeper support for postpartum recovery and menopause—two major life transitions often overlooked in existing care models.

“Postpartum is one of the most destabilising periods in a woman’s life… But care drops off after six weeks,” they note. They’re building a support path that integrates medical, mental, and lifestyle support. The same applies to menopause, which often begins years before symptoms become disruptive.
“All of this is part of building a system that’s a little more human, a little more responsive, and a lot more practical for the way women actually live.”
Hey Taylor’s story is one of empathy turned into action—of founders who saw the gaps and stepped up to build something better. As Singapore evolves its healthcare landscape, startups like Hey Taylor are not just responding to unmet needs—they’re helping redefine what care can look like when it’s truly built around women.
